Space has always been a place that has intrigued millions of people worlwide, and now it has intrigued me. The picture above for me, represents the endless paths that space travel could take you on. Now, in the 21st Century, we believe that we have discovered immense amounts about space. I disagree. Even though over the centurys, humankind has grown more and more knowledgeble about the way the universe works, we have, if you put it into perspective, discovered next to nothing. When I was small, I wanted to be an astronaut when I grew up. That path, I'm afraid to admitt, is 99% certain to fall through. But truly, I am more concerned with the idea of exploring space. I would, if given the chance, readily go into space, but what's the point of going to the moon? Neil Armstrong and Buzz Auldron did that, and there is no chance that the moon houses anything living. Space travel, in my opinion, is not about fame or chemical testing. It's about discovery. Discovery of new things, things never before seen. Why then, would America plan to send another team to the moon? The answer to that, is that they don't care about discovery of new things. Perhaps America only wants to send a team to the moon to prove that they have the guts and the money to do so! But despite that possibility, I think that there is probably a far more likely alternative. Perhaps the reason people still bother to travel to the moon, is for the adventure! The exhiliration of space travel, and the glory of return. For sure, that makes the trip worthwhile? Please make a post with your opinion on these matters.
